STR, in conjunction with the Patel Lab at The Johns Hopkins University (JHU), are developing novel facial recognition techniques that achieve state-of-the-art accuracy across an extremely wide range of domains — from high quality DSLR photos to long-range, shaky cell phone snapshots. STR and Patel Lab apply transfer learning between large-scale domains with high quality imagery to domains with few-shot examples and highly degraded imagery using just a single network.
