Classified technical work needs real physical infrastructure: accredited spaces, functioning labs, and safe buildings. This team coordinates facilities operations, manages construction and build-out projects, keeps building systems running, and owns environmental health and safety across STR’s sites. The work is practical, visible, and essential.
The Work
You’ll coordinate day-to-day facilities operations, run space and construction projects, and apply AI to automate routine scheduling, work-order triage, and compliance tracking so you can focus on the planning and safety judgment the mission depends on.
Who You Work With
You’ll partner with the security and IT teams in building out new labs, and with the engineers and program teams who need functioning labs and secure spaces to get their work done. You’ll manage outside contractors on construction and build-outs and coordinate across every site STR operates.
What We Look For
Experience in facilities coordination, building systems, construction project management, or EH&S; a PMP is valued for project roles.
